Anne of Green Gables Series By L.M. Montgomery

It s a mistake to think that the Anne Shirley books are just for young girls, or even for children and women LM Montgomery s books far transcends their genre Sure, they are sweet and romantic, but they have much than that Montgomery was a divinely blessed writer, in my opinion Her characters are fabulous, always memorable but never caricatured The stories are gripping Her writing is deceptively simple, meaning complex than they seem She writes to her audience without writing down to them And I [...]

such an easy, delightful way to escape loved these stories Though i must admit I did not quite finish all of them I eventually wanted a bit action

I will not be providing a full review on each book in the series as it would simply take entirely too much time Suffice it to say, the antics and imagination of that girl Anne with an E still brings a smile to my face 25 years after I first read the series For me it has a quality of youthful fascination and love of life that never ages As for the formatting for the Kindle It was what I would consider near perfection, I say near as I am sure someone out there would find a flaw or two, but I notic [...]

I have loved this book series since I read it as a teen I related to Annie tremendously and adored her melodramatic dreamer view of the world I loved her passion for reading and the adventures of her life just moved my heart I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves good writing, period pieces, and just sweet romance

Version received has stories than shows

    a classic

1 Anne of Green Gables 08 June, 2017 15 July, 2017 I haven t read this book since I was a kid in high school So its been about 20 something odd years I picked it up because of the new series on Netflix Anne With an E This book still held as much charm now as it did when I was a teen I still loved Marilla, and Matthew, Anne, and Diana and all the crazy stuff Anne was always getting into 2 Anne of Avonlea 15 July, 2017 05 September, 2017 I had planned on reading something else after Anne of Green [...]

Reliving My Childhood MemoriesThis book was on my bucket list A friend of mine always talked about this book.Even through the book is for younger readers, I enjoyed it immensely. The descriptions are vivid and the characters come alive.I recommend this book to young and old alike. Some of the short stories seemed repetitive in plot, however, still a good read.

This is surch A good series full of life and Anne is a stong, imaginative girl that makes you strive to be a better person When I was younger I only reading for the romance between Gilbert and Anne, and stopped at what I deemed happily ever after But as teacher I look to Anne for inspiration on days when my students make feel like despondent.

Wow Took a while but I read it all Loved it

This collection misses two books in the Anne of Green Gables series The two books are book numbers 4 Anne of Windy Poplars and 6 Anne of Ingleside.

Glad to have finally read the collection I enjoyed the Anne books much than the others am now reading the 2 which were missing from this collection.

This was a collection of 13 books by Lucy Maud Montgomery The first 6 books were wonderful They followed Anne Shirley as she grew up, went to college, got married, and raised her family The last book of the Anne series Rilla of Ingleside was slightly depressing, as it chronicled World War I and how it affected those in their village and family.Books 7 and 8 were a collection of short stories taking place in Avonlea I found these tedious and boring With no main characters to get behind, it just d [...]

I really enjoyed this book I remember seeing episodes of this series on tv, and reading this book now brought back many happy memories The stories were very interesting, and the characters were so well written that I could almost see them Having the books all together except the ones not in electronic form gave me a good sense of time passing as she grows up The related stories were just the same, and the short chapters made it easy to read when I could find the time and not worry about having t [...]

I love the wholesomeness and humor of the Anne and the Storyteller Books I think Montgomery last the opportunity to make Anne a truly heroic mother Anne is a strong capable youth and upon the death of her fist baby, she loses the strength which supported her through her difficult days before Green Gables The latter books she is barely mentioned, which I was sad to see The Storyteller books had me laughing out loud just as the earlier Anne books did.

Anne of Green GablesI so much loved this story of days gone by that my daughter immediately sent for the PBS series paying nearly 150 So I will have many hours of watching it These books are wonderful to read and my daughter feels only the PBS series will do it justice I am sorry it is over could have read much Thank you and for that price Unbelievabl

A series I read over and over again Parts still make me weep no matter how often I pick these books up Trips to PEI have me looking for Anne s favorite places and recalling passages of her vivid imagination Love the entire series and watching her grow from a scared lonely child to a woman filled with love.

The Anne of Green Gables books are my favorite books ever, the are hilarious, and romantic And I love L.M Montgomery, she is very talented I m kind of sad because I just finished reading Rilla of Ingleside the last book, so I went and bought the movies

Some of the best books I ve ever read, though they are supposed to be for kids, I don t think I would have read past the first 2 if I had read them when I was a kid They are wonderful, but densely written I would recommend for teens at the youngest.

I didn t actually finish all the books included in this collection I read all of the Anne books and the two containing short stories This collection leaves out two of the Anne books and adds 4 extra.
