Having enjoyed Zeb Wells and Clayton Crain s Carnage USA, I hoped their other Carnage book might also rock and it didn t Carnage is a meandering, weak story ostensibly about just putting Cletus Kasady and the Carnage symbiote back together again Shakily built around that is some crap about an evil CEO who has illegally and immorally used the Carnage DNA to make next gen prosthetics that Spider Man and Iron Man get tangled up into fighting The characters are bland and unremarkable there s Shriek, [...]

Good writing great art can sometimes pathos or a reasonable shadow thereof This is fun, smart, modern writing and beautiful, big, slick looking art Especially in the fight scenes, where the pages are big, massive, border crossing splashes its a treat to read a comic where you can almost feel and hear the thundering hits A stylish book with some great emotional moments, from the doctor who just wants to help, to the broken villainess who can t decide who she is, to the poor sap henchmen who don t [...]

This comic looks amazingly visceral The level of violence here is impressive and is the thing that stands out the most One of Spider Man s greatest enemies, if not THE greatest, returns to take revenge on the guy who thought he can use the symbiote as a source of technology to be used in prosthetic limbs and armor He is going to be defeated by an unlikely character, since the good guys are pretty much out of their league The pace of the story is beautiful, building up to a battle that is as dest [...]

How can you go through the comic section of the bookstore, see this cover, and not want to read it I m not a huge Spiderman fan well, I wasn t, but I m becoming of one the I learn about the universe and have very little idea of what is going on other than Carnage is a symbiote that joined with Cletus Clay to go around and be generally evil The jacket mentions who the important characters are in this go round and I didn t feel lost at all with my little background information. This starts off on [...]

I m not a comic book connisour but when I saw the artwork in this book, I had to read it It turned out to be a good gamble because I loved the story as well Dark, funny, and surprising

This is a great read not only was this the return of carnage after being ripped in half by the sentry and than thrown into orbit in the new avengers but he somehow survived it I know right That s comic book logic for you carnage family feud is a great read all the same witness the return of the sadistic Cletus kasady and let the murdering begin

    Very boring and forgetfull.

    Nathan
Carnage is a frightening villain, Cletus Kasady is a sociopath who is bonded with an alien symbiote that drains the life force out of its victims Often regarded as one of the best of Spider man s villains next to the Green Goblin, it seemed natural to create a miniseries about his return to the Marvel Universe SPOILER ALERT The first two issues were fairly good reads pun not intended but the story in the final issues degenerated into something out of a Michael Bay film.Zeb Wells understands Spid [...]

Carnage is a character I ve always been very interested in I think, with the right writing and artwork, he could be one the high echelon super villains in the Marvel Universe Family Feud seems like an attempt towards that end.The artwork is gorgeous It is truly some of the most beautiful work I ve seen in comic graphic novel form I m going to look for artist Clayton Crain s work in other books because of his effort here The dark palette and gritty realism really go hand in hand with the story an [...]

I just finished reading this story again for the first time since the mini series came out I recall very much enjoying this Carnage mini a few years back and this storyline still holds up Zeb Wells has always been pretty on point when it comes to writing Spider Man and his foes, really driving home the tone of Peter Parker and all who surround him, and Wells doesn t disappoint here He even brings Iron Man along for he ride, too Spidey and Iron Man both have a vested interest in the issues at han [...]

I was a little apprehensive about this book, yet another from a box I d purchased from eBay brimming with graphic novels I d never really read anything involving carnage and the character doesn t have the same appeal as venom But I was pleasantly surprised by this mini series Zeb Wells had crafted a really well worked story which expanded the carnage mythos and in Tanis Neives a very well rounded new character The tone is dark but with Spider Man and Iron Man there is still a lighter side with t [...]

A weak start, but I managed to get into the story by the end of the second issue I think a lot of my problem stemmed from not being familiar with the lore behind Carnage Shriek, and this assumes an amount of pre existing knowledge Worth keeping in mind if you re looking at this comic as an introduction to Carnage, as I was.The meat of the story was engaging, and Carnage proves to be an interesting creature The plot reveals itself at a good pace, and there were some ah ha moments to be enjoyed.I [...]

Another 3 star for a Carnage story Who knew Carnage had decent stories NOT ME I believe in the end Carnage USA was better even though I should have read this first but this still remained interesting throughout Same Artist and Writer, same feel to USA, and same batshit story So Carnage is dead, but he s being reborn, and Spider man and Iron man have to handle this shit before it gets out of control The big twist isyou guessed it, someone s return Then Spider man and Iron man team up to take him [...]

Zeb Wells knows how to write Spiderman so every likes him He writes him funny, witty, and actually a person yet this book is about Carnage and Zeb Wells does one of the best renditions of the character here He makes him frightening and able to wreck some real havoc I love all of Carnages sidekicks, it just adds to the chaos Good news is, this is not just spiderman in this volume, Iron Man teams up with him to take down Carnage It adds to the action of this book and makes it a really enjoyable re [...]

This book deserves five stars for the artwork alone The detail is amazing, from the textures of Spidey s costume to his super fine webs the first time they ve actually looked like proper spider webbing The story is great too Much darker than the usual Spidey fare, and with some nice cynicism against faceless corporations Those aren t code names they re something a marketing team would pick out Recommended.

Another great addition to the Marvel Universe by the team that brought us Venom vs Carnage and Toxin The return of Carnage and his spawns wreak havoc for everyone involved as usual Clayton Crains artwork is always some of my favourite, and really captures the visceral and inhuman aspects to the plot in a unique and original way.

For a back from the dead story, this was pretty good I missed the issues that preceded this, but it did a good job of getting me back up to speed on things I recall Maximum Carnage from my younger days, but haven t kept up with the character since This did a good job of making the scenario plausible, and introducing a new character, as well I m interested to see where it goes from here.

    Spencer Richard
This one surprised me The artwork was fantastic There were times that I just basked in the glory of its images, looking closely and pleasurably at the very fine detail I haven t read many graphic novels but I feel like this one, being full of such great art, really heightened the experience The story was not bad either I wouldn t call it a masterpiece or anything, but I really liked it.

    Rigoberto
Pretty good story The plot was impressive, in which we see the return of the Carnage symbiote, at first being used to synthesis artificial limbs It of course goes wrong, and we see the return of Doppelganger and Shriek in this story The art was amazing, I love the work of Crain This book is a must read for fans of the alien symbiote, with the right amount of dark tone and funny in it.

    Nate

    Paul
I have a thing for artificial limbs I don t know why, we all have our things, but it made me give this an extra star I like Spider Man, but I feel this should have been longer as it felt like a rather important story.

    Shane
This was really freaking good The art was great Carnage is a great villain The story was cool, really dark and at times funny Loved the Iron Rangers Do yourself a favor and don t read the back blurb because it gives way too much away.

    Benjamin
A great Carnage symbiote story, but a little slow at times and doesn t contain the large number of hard hitting characters like other special issues But a mean Carnage story that introduces some new characters A must read before Carnage USA.

    B
A psuedo sequel to Maximum Carnage I liked it on those terms The ending is well, it s been done before Too many times Recently.Still Marvel knows a moneymaking character design

    Ian
Story wise, there was a lot of filler, but many of the moving pieces paid off inventively Tonally, it never really figured itself out The art was sleek, but at the cost of coherence.

    Rocky Sunico
Nice art but not much story It just seems to be a setup to revive the old Maximum Carnage storyline given they tried to reunite Carnage, Shriek and Doppel Spidey

    Cassie
The artwork is absolutely amazing, but the story overall was reasonable.

    Christine
I really liked this despite knowing little about Carnage and his sidekicks The plot moved well and the art was great, which is always a plus.

    David
    Artwork is amazing
